Bleazard 'doesn't need to tell Cherries what final means' after Plymouth league loss

The sides meet six days after Argyle came out on top in the league, denting Bournemouth’s promotion hopes, as both are in the fight for the top two spots in the league, with Watford.

The Cherries boss told the Daily Echo she would not need to say much to shift the side’s mentality and focus onto the cup final.

“I said to the girls then, I don't need to tell you what next week means, and I could see so many of them nodding straight away,” she said.

“I do feel like we should have won the game, and I said that to them, and it's not about being unlucky in moments and those types of things.

“I felt like we were dominant enough to win. We should have won and we didn't.

“So it's about that mentality shift to go, right, what are we going to do next week?

“We'll obviously reflect and review and see where we're going.

“But I know the girls in terms of their attitude and their work rate, yes, they'll be annoyed and upset about the result, but their bounce-back ability will be really, really good. And I know that we'll see a performance next Saturday.”
