Vincent Angelini has reflected on Kristoffer Ajer’s obsession with Celtic at Brentford.
The Norwegian defender became a fan favourite during his time in Glasgow, being named the club’s Player of the Year in his final season.
Ex-Celtic youth goalkeeper Angelini linked up with the big man in his time at Brentford, having left the Hoops for Watford two years earlier.
According to him, Ajer doesn’t shut up about Celtic and Scotland.

Kristoffer Ajer is still a “massive Celtic fan,” Vincent Angelini says
Reflecting on his time with the Bees, Angelini told the Herald: “I was at Brentford for 18 months and my last year there was very beneficial for me in particular.
“One part of that was definitely being coached by Neil MacFarlane, who is involved in the Scotland setup coaching the under-19s.

“Him being from Scotland really helped. His man-management was perfect for me, he knew me inside and out as a person. His skills to know his players were amazing. He definitely knew when to push me and when to lay off.
“Having him in and around me at Brentford was great. I was mainly with the B team playing games there, but I was fortunate enough to just be at Brentford. I was in and around the first team a majority of the time.
“Like any other Premier League team, it really shocks you. The standard, the sharpness. The setup that they have there is just perfect and they’re only going to get bigger and bigger.
“Kristoffer Ajer was there too. When he was at Celtic, I was at under 18s, so I think I’d only trained with the first team once or twice, so I don’t think I was a familiar face to him.

Ajer was a £13.5 million export from Celtic, having been signed for £650,000 from Norwegian side IK Start, where had captained the side aged just 16.
Then a midfielder, he was predominantly a centre-half in Glasgow, but he has operated across the back four at the London club.
