Real Madrid’s quest for a new midfielder has only intensified as we approach the business end of the season.
In recent days, the club have been strongly linked with a move for Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, who reportedly harbours the dream of playing for Los Blancos, although he has denied any talks about his future in a recent interview.
Real Madrid are also monitoring Enzo’s midfield partner, Moises Caicedo. But the Ecuadorian international has already given a strong message to the Spanish giants.
Caicedo wants to become a Chelsea legend
In a recent interview with El Chiringuito (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Caicedo was asked about his future amid speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
But in response, the midfielder dismissed any talks about his future and instead professed his love for Chelsea, even adding that he wants to become a legend at Stamford Bridge.

“I’m only focused on my club right now. I have a contract and I want to become a legend there, God willing,” he said.
Caicedo’s statement, despite Chelsea’s poor form in the Premier League and a recent elimination in the Champions League, with the Blues suffering an 8-2 hammering at the hands of defending champions PSG.
Caicedo, though, remains focused on Chelsea’s season as well as the upcoming World Cup, where he will be representing Ecuador.
**“I want to finish the season in the best way possible. I hope everything goes well at the World Cup because I want to help my national team reach the top,**” he added.
Caicedo’s comments suggest he is not considering leaving Chelsea at the moment, although it will be interesting to see how things transpire in the coming summer.
