The Ronaldinho & Friends team will take on Defoe's UK Icons team at Sunderland's home stadium on Monday, May 25 (5pm), the day after the final game of the Premier League season.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS OF THE GAME?
Former Ballon D'Or winner Ronaldinho will be bringing his team of legends to the Stadium of Light to take on Defoe's UK Icons XI on Monday, May 25, with the game kicking off at 5pm.
The game takes place on the day after the Premier League season ends, with Sunderland hosting Chelsea in their final fixture on Sunday, May 24.
Other players confirmed to be playing alongside two-time World Player of the Year Ronaldinho are former Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse, Kleberson, Heurelho Gomes, former Manchester United full backs Fabio and Rafael, Fernando and Anderson.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID?
Sunderland’s chief business officer, David Bruce, said: “It is an absolute privilege to host this game and welcome one of the most iconic legends of the sport.
"The Stadium of Light is known for hosting big occasions and this event with Ronaldinho is no different.
"Sunderland is a major global destination for football fans, and we look forward to welcoming some of the greats while showing off our city.”

Marcel Nalyan, chief curator of the Ronaldinho & Friends game, added: “Ronaldinho’s love for football has never faded, not even with the close of his professional career.
"It had been a long time since he last visited the UK, and he had longed for the chance to play there once more.
"When the opportunity with Sunderland arose, he said immediately, 'Let’s do it!' From the very beginning, he loved everything about the fans on Wearside, the stadium, and all that comes with it.”
HOW CAN I GET A TICKET?
Tickets are on sale via Sunderland's ticketing website.
General admission tickets are £25 for adults and £20 for concessions.
Hospitality tickets are available in Quinns Sports Bar for £100, with executive boxes priced at £1,500 for ten guests.
Parking at the Stadium of Light will also be available, priced at £10.
