State of play: What Yorkshire's clubs are playing for in sprint to the finish

Club football takes a pause for the next week and a half, only building up the tension ahead of a run-in which starts in earnest on the Easter weekend.

Most Yorkshire clubs have something to play for between now and May 2 (or 24th in the case of Premier League Leeds United).

Some will hope to extend their season, others will nervously be hoping they can take it easy on the final day.

With two points separating them, Crawley Town, Barrow, Harrogate and Newport County are set for an almighty battle to avoid being one of the two teams to drop out of the Football League in May. Comfortably the division's lowest scorers, the Sulphurites are at Newport on April 11. Should they go, York City will hope to keep North Yorkshire's representation up with promotion from the Conference.
