Report: The three priority positions for Everton this summer as 'realistic' net spend figure…

Everton will prioritise a right-back, a centre-back and a striker this summer, with European football hopefully boosting the club’s spending power.

The Toffees are in a fantastic position at the moment, sitting just three points off fifth-placed Liverpool.

Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?

The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…

A brilliant 3-0 win over Chelsea at the weekend has resulted in a feel-good factor at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and there is genuine belief now that David Moyes can guide the club into a European competition.

Hopefully he’ll manage to achieve that, as this will help massively in terms of player recruitment this summer.

And on that, The i Paper has reported the plans for Everton this summer in terms of the positions that are top of the agenda.

Everton’s priority positions this summer with £100m net spend a ‘realistic prospect’

The i Paper claim that Everton have three positions that are top priorities this summer.

A new right-back, a new centre-back and a striker are the positions that will be targeted as a matter of urgency.

It is also claimed that ‘another net spend of around £100m is a realistic prospect’ for the club – qualifying for Europe will help with this.

Despite having a strong pool of centre-backs, there is a desire to bring in a new option.

And The i Paper add that Ben White and Marcos Senesi are both targets for the club.

It is no surprise that a new right-back is desired, with Seamus Coleman out of contract, Nathan Patterson likely to leave and Jake O’Brien and James Garner not natural options.

And a new striker is also no surprise. Beto is in good form at the moment and Thierno Barry has had good moments. But neither player is prolific.

Everton could ramp up Vitalii Mykolenko contract talks

Interestingly, there is no mention of a new left-back being a priority.

Of course, Vitalii Mykolenko stands to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

But it was recently claimed Everton are ‘feverishly’ trying to extend his contract. That suggests David Moyes is keen to continue with him as first-choice.

Mykolenko has been much improved in recent weeks, but the prospect of him keeping his place as first-choice next season is not something everyone will welcome.
