Man United have been linked to signing a left back from Arsenal and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer.

Man United went into the international break third in the Premier League table after a draw against Bournemouth. The Red Devils will be delighted based on how Michael Carrick is performing, and how the players look regenerated under him.

One name who has improved under Carrick is left-back Luke Shaw, who is back in contention to claim a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, although he missed out for the March break.

Man United add Robinson to left-back shortlist

A new name has emerged as a potential left-back target for Man United, and it comes in the form of Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson. The USA international has been linked with a move to United in the past, and it seems that the Red Devils have renewed their interest in the 28-year-old.

According to Football Insider, Man United have added Robinson to their shortlist of left-backs ahead of the summer, as they look to bring someone in who can help to replace Shaw in the long-term, but also compete with him for game time next season.

Robinson has made 19 appearances for Fulham this season, mainly due to injury concerns. But his previous seasons have shown that he is more than capable of providing attacking returns from the left-back spot, whilst also being defensively solid, much like Shaw.

Robinson will likely be the cheapest of the three names linked to United in recent days, mainly because he is older, and also he doesn’t have a Champions League pedigree.

Man United considering Lewis-Skelly too

Reports have said that Arsenal could loan out Lewis-Skelly, but reports have also said that Man United are interested in signing the England international, and that they could go in with an offer, although the Gunners would likely demand a much higher fee from Man United, considering they could easily become title rivals.

Lewis-Skelly has made just 14 Premier League appearances this season, which is a surprise because he was a key player for Arsenal in the league last year under Arteta, before Calafiori’s emergence this year.

Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is also linked with a move to United, but the Canada international is expected to also command a hefty transfer fee, which could put United off, compared to someone like Robinson, who would be cheaper.
