Man United and Liverpool offered Bundesliga superstar

Manchester United face old rivals Leeds United when the Premier League returns after the international break.

The Red Devils are on course to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League, largely thanks to their superb recent run of form under caretaker head coach, Michael Carrick.

The former United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has overseen seven victories from his ten matches in charge since being appointed in January, guiding United up to third in the top flight table.

While United were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth in their last outing, Carrick will hope to see his side return to winning ways when they host the Whites on April 13.

In the meantime, it has emerged that United are one of a number of Premier League clubs to have verb offered the chance to sign a Bundesliga full-back.

As reported by TEAMtalk, Bayern Munich wing-back Alphonso Davies has been offered to a host of Premier League sides, including Man United and Liverpool.

The report suggests that the Canada international’s representatives have been assessing possible interest in the defender, who has suffered with injuries this term.

Davies, 25, joined Bayern from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps back in 2019 and made an instant impact in Bavaria, quickly establishing himself as one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe.

In total the Canadian has now made 239 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, providing 37 assists.

He has struggled with injuries this season, though, including a cruciate ligament tear and, more recently, a hamstring problem.

Those fitness issues have limited the Canadian to just 13 appearances so far this term, and it appears that his time at Bayern could soon be coming to an end.

Uncertainty surrounding Davies’ future comes despite the player signing a contract extension with his current side last month, with the player’s deal now set to run until the end of the 2029/30 season.
