Manchester United will visit the Republic of Ireland for a four-day training camp at the beginning of April. After drawing against Bournemouth last week, United do not play again for 24 days in the Premier League.
United considered arranging a mid-season friendly abroad to fill the gap, with Saudi Arabia having been under consideration, but they will instead visit Ireland for a training camp from April 6-9.
Michael Carrick will use the opportunity for an intense training period and an extended spell with his squad to prepare for the run-in. United will be based 30 minutes outside of Dublin.

United are next in action against Leeds at Old Trafford on April 14. The club believe the Ireland training camp will help to sharpen the players ahead of the business end of the season.
The Reds have just seven games remaining in the Premier League. Carrick's impact means they are third in the Premier League, leaving United well-placed to secure Champions League football.
Due to first-round exits in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, United will play 40 games this season, their fewest in a campaign since 1914/15. Carrick admitted that a mid-season friendly abroad was an option in the spring, but the interim boss has backed a training camp near Dublin.
United have visited Ireland for pre-season friendlies in recent years. In 2023, the Aviva Stadium was sold out to watch an Erik ten Hag side draw 1-1 against Athletic Bilbao.
United are set to tour Europe this summer, with talks ongoing to finalise a schedule that includes visits to Scandinavia and other parts of Europe, meaning another Dublin visit could be arranged.
