Mohamed Salah's exit from Liverpool after nine years will leave a gaping void in their attack that they must address during this summer's transfer window.

Whilst he has not quite reached the dizzying heights of previous campaigns this term, he still has 10 goals and 9 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Salah, 33, has rarely been hampered by injuries until a recent muscle problem, enabling the forward to remain a near-permanent fixture in attack since arriving from Roma. That has meant that his teammates seldom have the chance to fill in for the club's talisman.

Consequently, potential replacements will be necessary this summer. Below are 11 possible successors to Liverpool's number 11.

Paris Saint-Germain is the obvious starting point, with three potential replacements currently playing in the French capital. The Reds have been linked with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ever since the Georgian winger burst onto the scene at Napoli.

Already boasting Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele in their forward line, PSG were undeterred from snapping up the Serie A star. It proved to be a masterstroke, as they went on to clinch the Champions League last season.

Nevertheless, one or more of them could push for a move this summer if they grow tired of sharing the limelight for the Parisians.

The same might apply to Michael Olise, who finds himself alongside Harry Kane and Luis Diaz at Bayern Munich, and two years on from his departure, the Reds could lure the London-born France international back to the Premier League.

Karim Adeyemi is another Bundesliga player for whom clubs in England are reported to be interested. At just 24, the Germany international is an adaptable forward who could also fill in up front, much like Salah has throughout the years.

Yet the outstanding talent in Germany this season is Yan Diomande. The forward has scored 10 times this campaign, despite celebrating his 19th birthday only in November.

The teenager has also revealed to BILD that Liverpool are his father's favourite club, saying: "It was always his great wish to see me there someday because he loves the atmosphere at Anfield."

Diomande says he has "a lot of respect for Liverpool" but stated RB Leipzig are his "dream club right now". Another player who hails from a family of Liverpool supporters is Anthony Gordon.

With Newcastle United appearing less likely than the Reds to secure Champions League qualification again next season, another chance to capture the England international could emerge, as it did two years ago. Gordon's former Newcastle colleague, Yankuba Minteh, is another potential Premier League candidate.

Arne Slot is well acquainted with the Brighton and Hove Albion winger from having him on loan at Feyenoord, and Minteh has demonstrated flashes of potential at just 21 years old. Another player consistently linked with the Reds is Nico Williams.

The winger signed a 10-year deal with Athletic Club last summer, but following an injury-plagued campaign, reports from Spain suggest Williams could be open to Premier League interest.

Rafael Leao could also be up for grabs this summer, with his Milan contract having just two seasons remaining. Should no fresh terms be agreed in the coming months, the Italian club may be keen to cash in on the Portugal international.

Another player who could be available at a knockdown price this summer is Mohammed Kudus. Tottenham Hotspur's difficulties since snapping up the Ghana international from West Ham United, regardless of whether they face relegation this season, could leave Kudus weighing up his future. Liverpool's interest stretches back to his days at Ajax, suggesting there could be a deal to doable with Spurs.
