Mohamed Salah has been tipped to move to Saudi Arabia
A Liverpool icon has suggested a move to Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah won't be linked to money.
Salah, 33, announced he'll be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season with an emotional video on social media on Tuesday evening. And the Egyptian winger has been long-since linked with a move to the Middle East.
The Saudi Pro League could be a destination for Salah, and Gary McAllister belives he would be a "massive boost" for the league. Speaking to Grosvenor Casino, he said: "Yeah, you’d think so.

"But who knows, maybe he fancies a change of lifestyle somewhere else, like MLS. I don’t know what he’s thinking at all.” Would it be a financial decision? I’m not sure. I think he’s already on a decent salary.”
“But a lot of the pointers suggest Saudi Arabia. That said, I still think there’s a wee bit left in his legs.”
He added: "Obviously, Cristiano Ronaldo was the big one for the Saudi league when he moved there. I think because of where Mo Salah comes from geographically, moving to that region might appeal to him even more.”
“In the Middle East, he is a proper superstar, so that would be a massive boost for the league.”
Speaking in the video, Salah said: "Hello everyone. Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
"I wanted to start by saying I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people, would become part of my life. Liverpool is not just a football club. It is a passion, a history, a spirit that I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club.
"We celebrated victory. We won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest time in our lives. I want to thank everyone who was part of this club during my time here, especially my teammates, past and present.

"And to the fans, I don't have enough words. The support you showed me, through the best time of my career, is something I will never forget and something I will always take with me.
"Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will always be one of you. This club will always be my home, to me and my family. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."
