Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son is training with Real Madrid’s youth academy with a clear objective of joining the club in the near future.
Although Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford under a grey cloud in 2022, marking his second exit from Manchester United, he will remain a club legend for the brilliance he provided on the pitch throughout both spells.
When Ronaldo made his emotional return to United in August 2021, his eldest son Cristiano Jr. followed suit at the age of 11 by joining the academy.
Ronaldo Jr famously trained with Kai Rooney during that time and joined the academy on the same day as JJ Gabriel.

Ronaldo Jr started following in his father’s footsteps at a young age, in terms of career path, albeit at youth level.
He has always played in the youth setups of Juventus and Al Nassr.
Although he was born in the United States, Ronaldo Jr. has appeared for Portugal at U15 and U17 level.

According to Mario Corteganna of The Athletic, Ronaldo Jr. trained with Real Madrid’s academy on Tuesday morning. Moreover, the youngster is hoping to join the youth ranks in the near future.
Ronaldo Jr. could join a club where his father won several Ballon d’Or awards, scoring 450 goals in 438 appearances and winning the Champions League on four occasions.
There will be big expectations on Ronaldo Jr.’s shoulders, which is perhaps harsh as his father’s shoes are next to impossible to fill.

Wayne Rooney believes Cristiano Ronaldo’s son made things harder for son Kai
Kai has been flourishing in United’s academy in recent years, going from strength to strength.
At the age of 16, his father can now reflect on the youngster’s early days at the club.
Rooney is aware that his son is constantly under scrutiny due to the fame surrounding his name, which will be the same for Ronaldo Jr at Real Madrid.
Speaking on The Wayne Rooney podcast in 2025, Rooney admitted Ronaldo’s appearance in the team made things harder for his son.
He said: “There’s a bit more pressure on them as well.
“Kai and [when Cristiano] Ronaldo came back, Ronaldo’s lads and Michael Carrick’s lad were all on the same team.
“You go and watch and then all of a sudden there’s like 10 times the amount of people that’s normally there, all around the pitch watching, so there’s a lot more pressure because they’re coming to watch the three kids to see how they play and stuff.
“They’ve got to be ready.”
