**West Ham have shown in the last couple of months that we have enough about us to overtake Spurs & send them down.**
That is the feeling of both The West Ham Way Podcast duo Dave Walker & ExWHUEmployee, who are both quite rightly disappointed with our result and more so performance against Aston Villa – however Spurs being in freefall gives real hope that we can out match them in this relegation dogfight.
“There’s no denying that it was a poor performance on Sunday but it was against a top team who on their day are excellent,” stated Walker. “I still think we have enough quality and togetherness to get ourselves out of trouble, I’m not sure I can say the same for Tottenham!”
Walkers co-host Ex agreed and pointed towards our key players returning for the run in, which should be enough to get the points to overtake our bitter rivals and send them packing.
“I think we need to put the villa game behind us and concentrate on the recent performances, added Ex. “Hopefully we get Summerville back soon and Todibo isn’t a long term injury and we really can make a go of this.
“Spurs seem to be in freefall and I wouldn’t count Forest or Leeds being completely out of it yet. I still feel confident we can do this but it’s a very nerve wracking experience.”
