Manchester United will now have three weeks away from action as Michael Carrick’s side rest and recover ahead of a crucial run-in as they aim to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
The Red Devils have shown outstanding form in the Premier League since Carrick was appointed as head coach until the end of the season, with seven victories in ten matches which have seen the club rise into third place in the division.
While many United stars will go away on international duty for their respective national sides, with the break representing the last chance to impress ahead of the World Cup this summer, for some it will represent an opportunity to rest up and return to fitness in time for United’s clash with rivals Leeds at Old Trafford on Monday, April 13 (20:00 BST).
