Two high-profile Major League Soccer clubs are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro this summer. The Brazilian destroyer will depart Old Trafford on a free transfer once his current contract expires in June.
Michael Carrick has got the best out of the five-time Champions League winner since replacing Ruben Amorim in January, and he'll be an extremely difficult, and expensive, player to replace. The 34-year-old had previously come under fire from critics under Amorim.

According to The Athletic, Lionel Messi's Inter Miami is one of the clubs showing an interest in the Brazil international. The Argentine used to be one of Casemiro's biggest rivals when they played for Barcelona and Real Madrid. Now, El Clasico foes could well become teammates.
The David Beckham-owned outfit isn't the only potential suitor in the United States of America. LA Galaxy are the other team weighing up a move for the ex-Real Madrid stalwart, meaning he'd be Messi's rival once again.
Galaxy are currently sitting 10th in the MLS table, but have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup. Casemiro would be another marquee signing, following in the footsteps of Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Casemiro Announced Man Utd Departure

In January, speculation around his future started to emerge as the defensive midfielder entered the final six months of his deal at Old Trafford. Giving supporters plenty of warning about his upcoming transfer, Casemiro made a statement to the club's official site.
"I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life. From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club.
“It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months."
"We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed," he continued. Casemiro's excellent form next to Kobbie Mainoo in the engine room looks almost certain to have put United in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.
