Manchester United now appears set to miss out on signing Argentine wonderkid Ian Subiabre, with Inter Milan moving forward in efforts to sign him.
River Plate wonderkid Ian Subiabre is exactly the type of signing Manchester United are looking to make more often under Ineos, given his impressive potential.
Back in November, during the under-20 World Cup, United in Focus reported that United scouts were watching Subiabre closely.
Since then, interest hasn’t developed as the teenager looks likely to make a move this summer, with United set to miss out.

Inter Milan open talks to sign Ian Subiabre
Subiabre has the ability to be the next talent off the River Plate production line, and now TeamTalk has reported the latest around his transfer situation.
The report explains that Serie A outfit Inter Milan has now opened talks with River over a deal to bring Subiabre to Europe this coming summer.
Inter are keen to move quickly to sign the in-demand youngster ahead of the other top sides keen on his signature.

Man City are among those interested in Subiabre, with interest ongoing for several years, and a move this summer is expected.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also interested, while United are also mentioned alongside Arsenal, Juventus, Borussia Fortmund and Liverpool.
It is added that the battle will accelerate in the coming weeks, with United having work to do in order to avoid missing out.

Subiabre would be smart signing for Manchester United
United have been linked with Subiabre for a whole year, with all the discussions and rumours likely coming to a head this summer.
Whoever wins the race for the Argentine will be getting a winger with exciting dribbling ability, an eye for goals, and creativity in abundance.
United wanted to sign the next Kylian Mbappe, a goal outlined by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as he wants the club to sign the stars of tomorrow.
Subiabre would fit this mould, with his potential being top-level if he is handled correctly. It would be an exciting signing, not breaking the bank and potentially a low risk high reward addition.
Not a deal United should be ruling out.
