Dwight McNeil opens up on Sean Dyche’s Everton sacking
McNeil has largely struggled at Everton under Moyes, despite his recent run of positive form in the starting XI.
Speaking to the Everton website, McNeil has admitted how difficult it was to see Dyche depart last January on Merseyside.

“It was a bit difficult because when he [Dyche] left, I was injured, and then when the new gaffer came in, I wasn’t around the squad,” said McNeil.
“So, it was difficult in that regard because I was trying to understand what he was like as a manager, but away from the team. That was probably the most challenging thing for me.”
The 26-year-old did not start a Premier League game this season under Moyes until December, but he has since played an integral role in the side.
McNeil’s failed move to Crystal Palace affected him greatly, yet he has managed to come back stronger and play a key role in the starting XI.
Despite looking a certainty to leave over the winter window, the midfielder has now been given a fresh lease of life on Merseyside.
Everton must consider keeping Dwight McNeil this summer
Not many would have expected McNeil to turn around his Everton career in the way he has since the collapsed move to Palace.
Everton fans have been impressed with McNeil for his recent showings in the Premier League.
After the failed winter move, Everton News columnist Alan Myers expected McNeil to be sold this summer instead.
However, the 26-year-old is putting in a real case to hold a promising future on Merseyside if he is able to maintain his current form under Moyes.
