Man United defender Luke Shaw has just one more season left on his contract after this year.

Kobbie Mainoo has got back into the starting XI regularly, and is back at his best, whereas Luke Shaw has also got himself regular game time again, back in his natural left-back spot.

Man United consider Newcastle star Hall

Lewis Hall has become one of Thomas Tuchel’s most reliable players in the England squad. The Newcastle star is only 22, yet he is maturing into a very solid defensive left-back, but also someone who can make an impact on the ball, and transitioning into attacking positions.

Previous reports linking Man City to Hall have suggested that Newcastle could demand around £70m for the defender, which would make him a difficult player to acquire. But, based on what we have seen from him this season for both Newcastle and England, it could be money well spent.

It would also be vital for Man United to get a deal for Hall done before the World Cup, because if he performs well on the world stage, his market value is only going to get bigger and bigger.

Man United are also keen on Robinson

Robinson wouldn’t cost anywhere near as much as Hall, and could be a solid move for Man United. However, he is much older at 28, and wouldn’t be so much of a replacement for Shaw rather than just competition.

Brown would be more of a long-term option, with reports suggesting that he could cost between £50m an £60m. He is a key player for Frankfurt, and has made 26 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring four goals, and providing four assists.
