Man United are reportedly looking to upgrade their winger options heading into the summer.

With the March international break now underway, transfer news is slowly ramping up ahead of the summer. Man United, and other Premier League clubs will be scouting to find their top targets, especially as they’ll want to complete deals before the start of the World Cup.

If it is Carrick in charge, Man United will be keen to upgrade at the winger position, as they have a distinct lack of depth, and considering they could be in the Champions League next season, it could be a serious issue.

Man United target AFCON duo in attack

The Red Devils have already begun making a shortlist of attackers they want to sign in the summer to boost Carrick’s squad ahead of a Champions League campaign. According to Sky Sports, two major AFCON stars are on the radar of the club, as they look to bring in some more talent.

Firstly, Everton and Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly on Man United’s radar, as the Red Devils look to continue their strategy of signing Premier League-proven players, much like they did with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

Ndiaye is expected to cost at least £70m, as Everton are very reluctant to sell the 25-year-old, especially if they’re able to sneak into a European football place under David Moyes this season.

The Everton star has made 25 appearances this season in the Premier League, scoring six goals, and providing three assists.

Man United also targeting Yan Diomande

Diomande is a much younger, more risky signing than Ndiaye. At just 19, he is less proven, and of course, has never played in the Premier League before. However, despite that, he is a real talent and is expected to command a hefty transfer fee of around £86m, given that Leipzig don’t want to sell him.

Liverpool have also been linked to Diomande, and their links are getting even stronger now, because they need to find a replacement for Mo Salah, who announced that he’s leaving at the end of the season.

Diomande is known for his pace and ability on the ball, and he’s been a real star in the Bundesliga so far this season. The 19-year-old has made 29 appearances for Leipzig in all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and providing eight assists.
