He has already set his sights on returning stronger in time for pre-season preparations.
Kai is the son of legendary Man United forward Wayne Rooney.
The 16-year-old is a promising forward within the famed United academy. He recently helped the Under-16s to secure the Premier League Shield by beating Burnley 2-0.
The talented teenager made his debut for the under-18s this season, moving fluidly between age groups to refine his talent.
Kai recently signed with Triple S Sports Management. His father was also represented by the same agency during his illustrious career. Harry Maguire and Shea Lacey are also part of the same agency.
