Newcastle United could rebuild the squad in the summer

Newcastle United have just seven games to go as they look to rescue what has turned out to be a largely disappointing season - one which promised so much initially.
With United knocked out of all cup competitions now, after good runs in the Carabao Cup and Champions League, attention turns to the Premier League once the international break is over. For the Magpies, sitting in 12th spit, there is work to be done.
Under-pressure manager Eddie Howe knows he must finish the campaign strongly to ward off any more doubts about his position and also to take some momentum into the new campaign.
The final seven games, however, also represent a crucial period for some of United's under-performing players - and those almost out of contract.
This is a time when decisions will start to be made. Howe, along with sporting director Ross Wilson, have already started making plans for the summer as they look to get recruitment back on track.
The trading period almost a year ago was a difficult one. Newcastle were ambushed by Alexander Isak, missed out on a host of targets, were left rudderless by Paul Mitchell and Darren Eales' departure, and eventually spent some £250m on six new players.
It's fair to say that results from that outlay have been mixed. Alan Shearer claims the window 'set Newcastle back 18 months'.
There will need to be a rebuild of sorts again before the start of the new campaign, and there will be money available - although how much remains to be seen. There is still some proceeds from Isak's sale and the parsimony in the winter window has created some wiggle room.
Newcastle may have to sell though as well. There will no doubt be interest in key players like Tino Livramento, Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, while they could cash in on squad men like Joe Willock and William Osula.
Then there are the out-of-contract players - Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Emil Krafth - along with Aaron Ramsdale's loan spell coming to an end.
So plenty of decisions on the squad to be made by Wilson - and that's before the striker situation around Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade is addressed.
When judging the relative contributions of the players, there is plenty to take into account. At this stage of the season, we want you to let us know which of the current squad you would keep - and who you would sell.
Who needs to be part of the plans going forward - either because of their ability, potential or for financial reasons - and who should be moved on in the summer?
