George Earthy will not be a free agent this summer despite reports claiming so, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The West Ham Academy graduate, who is currently again on loan at Bristol City, had been reported to be set for release at the end of this season by the club.
However, as was reported when the player returned to the Robins back in January, the player had his current West Ham contract extended by another year, keeping him under contract until the summer of 2027.
“We reported back in January that Earthy had secured an extension to his Hammers deal when he moved back to Bristol City,” stated Ex.
“So the reports that Earthy will be a free agent this summer are not true. However, that does not necessarily mean that the player will remain a West Ham player.
“Of course, like many things at present, until we know our league status for next season, everything is up in the air – including Earthys future.
“If we remain in the Premier League, the club could look to cash in on the player, but of course nothing has been decided upon.
“Earthy is a West Ham player and is under contract until summer 2027, at the very least at present.”
