Daniel Farke will be livid as the Premier League Key Match Incidents panel announced that Leeds United star Gabriel Gudmundsson should not have been sent off against Crystal Palace.
Thomas Bramall dismissed the Whites star before half-time in the Selhurst Park clash on 15 March for a challenge on Ismaila Sarr, but they held on to secure a 0-0 draw.
He had initially forgotten that he had already booked the Swedish ace, before finally brandishing the red card.
The KMI panel have voted unanimously that the Leeds man should not have been given a second booking, and should have remained on the pitch.

What did the KMI panel say about Gudmundsson red card?
Leeds were without Gudmundsson for their 0-0 draw with Brentford, as they could not appeal against the decision.
Second yellow cards are not appealable, meaning that the Peacocks could not even try to get his ban reduced after the fact.

Why Farke and Leeds’ anger will only increase
Next season, VAR will be able to send referees to the monitor to rescind second yellow cards that are clearly wrong, which has the potential to screw the Whites over.
That will be little comfort for Farke, especially given his side’s precarious position in the Premier League relegation battle, and will likely only increase his anger over the incident.

The LS11 side sit four points above the relegation zone with seven matches to play, and there could still be plenty of twists and turns, as teams try desperately to retain their status in the top-tier.
The point earned in South London may not be enough, and Farke will believe his side could have won the game, if Gudmundsson was still on the pitch.
If the Yorkshire side are in the Championship, where there is no VAR, then the new change will not benefit them at all, in the second-tier.
Hopefully, that will not be the case, and they will still be in the top-flight, and the red card controversy will not be too important when the season concludes.
If not, though, the decision from Bramall will prove to be extremely contentious with the supporters and officials at Elland Road for a long time.
