After Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven, Man Utd target most ambitious Arsenal raid yet - Journalist

Manchester United look increasingly likely to strengthen in midfield this summer, with Myles Lewis-Skelly the latest option to be linked with Old Trafford.

With Luke Shaw the only designated senior left-back at Manchester United, bolstering the position this summer is a growing priority for the Red Devils.

Patrick Dorgu appears to be considered a winger, while Harry Amass probably won’t be ready to carry the weight of starting should Shaw’s unlikely run of fitness be halted.

So several names have been reported as targets. Now, Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly has become the latest name linked with the Red Devils.

Do Manchester United need to replace Luke Shaw this summer?

Or do you trust Harry Amass and Patrick Dorgu going forward👀

Manchester United consider Myles Lewis-Skelly as left-back signing

This bombshell report comes from Sky Sports journalist Danyal Khan, who has reported interest in Lewis-Skelly.

United have placed Lewis-Skelly on their list of potential left-back signings in 2026, with the Arsenal talent falling out of favour with Mikel Arteta.

Lewis-Skelly has started just one Premier League game this season, and now United are interested, with Arsenal needing to sell this summer to buy, which could see them sacrifice the 19-year-old.

The Arsenal talent burst onto the scene last season, shining in the Champions League, but he’s struggled this year, which could mean the Gunners are willing to sell.

It would be the latest Arsenal talent to join United, following Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven, but this would be an entirely different transfer, costing a great deal more.

Elsewhere at left-back, United are looking at Lewis Hall from Newcastle, with the English international being considered one of the world’s best in his role. While another option sees United keen on signing Nathaniel Brown, as scouts took in his recent performances.

Which of these players do you want to see Man Utd SIGN in 2026?

Lewis-Skelly also offers Manchester United midfield depth

Lewis-Skelly would be a really shrewd signing by United, potentially for a very reasonable fee if Arsenal are keen on selling him.

Not only would the 19-year-old start for United at left-back, but Lewis-Skelly was a midfielder by trade while in the academy, and even when breaking through at Arsenal.

Therefore, he would also offer United midfield depth as a potential fallback option to come in as an all-action midfielder.

It would be a two-birds-one-stone signing for United, the kind of addition that helps build a squad, not just a starting line-up.

Very interesting for United at the right price.
