Arsenal have a big decision to make regarding the long-term future of the player this summer

Arsenal defender Ben White is on the ‘radar’ of Chelsea and Manchester United this summer, according to TEAMtalk. Liverpool have also been credited with an interest ahead of the next transfer window. His long-term future at the Emirates Stadium is up in the air amid attention from elsewhere.

The Gunners lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final last time out. They remain top of the Premier League table though ahead of Pep Guardiola’s side. Mikel Arteta’s men are back in action after the international break as they aim to return to winning ways.

Arsenal full-back White has found it hard to get regular game time so far this season. He faces strong competition for his position from Jurrien Timber. His contract in London expires in June 2028 meaning he still has another couple of years left to run down on his deal.

White, 28, has been on the books of the Gunners since joining them back in 2021. He has since made 181 appearances in all competitions, 21 of which have come in this campaign, and he has chipped in with seven goals. The Poole-born man has also made four caps for the England national team.

He spent time at Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion as a youngster. The latter loaned him out to Newport County, Peterborough United and Leeds United to boost his development. Arsenal then came calling and he put pen-to-paper on a long-term basis.

Chelsea, United and Liverpool could all see him as someone to boost their respective defensive departments ahead of next term. After landing him nearly five years ago, Arteta said: "Ben was a top target for us and it's great that we've completed his signing. Ben is an intelligent defender who is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and his style fits perfectly with us. And of course, he is still young, so his age and profile fits with what we are building here. We are all looking forward to Ben being central to our future long-term plans."
