West Ham have the chance to bring in some new faces when the summer transfer window opens up
West Ham are interested in a move for Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur this summer, according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb. The Hammers are being linked with a swoop for the Championship man in the next transfer window. Torino have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side remain in the drop zone in the Premier League. They are inside the bottom three along with Wolves and Burnley. The London outfit lost 2-0 away at Aston Villa last time out at Villa Park.
West Ham keen on Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur
West Ham could see Hull City stopper Pandur as someone to bolster their goalkeeping department. If he joined, he would give them more competition and depth between the sticks, regardless of what division they are in. His contract at the MKM Stadium expires in June 2027.
Pandur, 25, joined the Tigers back in January 2024 and initially struggled for game time during his first few months. However, he has become their first choice over the past two campaigns. He has made 83 appearances in all competitions, 39 of which have come this term as Sergej Jakirovic’s men eye promotion from the second tier via the play-offs.
The Croatian ‘keeper rose up through the academy at Rijeka and broke into their first-team as a youngster before Hellas Verona came calling. He went on to play 11 matches during his time in Italy before switching to Fortuna Sittard in 2022. Hull City were then alerted to his attention before making their move and he hasn’t looked back since.
After making the transfer to East Yorkshire, ex-Tigers manager Liam Rosenior said: “Ivor is a player with really good pedigree. The scouting team and I have watched him for a long time and he’s someone we feel can learn and develop in our first team environment.
“He’s got a lot of potential and many qualities. He’s an outstanding shot-stopper with agility and plays with personality. Ivor’s already a leader at such a young age and made a big impression with Fortuna Sittard and their fans during his time in the Netherlands.”
