Former Everton defender Phil Neville is convinced David Moyes shares a trait he’s also experienced under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Moyes is a firm member of the managerial 1000 club, with the Everton boss is still going strong at the age of 62.
The Scot has managed plenty of quality players during his time at Goodison Park and now the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“I learned from the best,” Neville said on the Unfiltered Soccer podcast.
“And I put David Moyes up there with Sir Alex Ferguson because his longevity, his consistency is phenomenal. And you just got to be relentless in anything that you do. And I think that’s for anything that you want to do in life.”
Neville played virtually all of his footballing career under the two Scottish managers, with two appearances under Alan Stubbs and Jimmy Ryan.
Tony Bellew has also praised Moyes for his relentless work ethic having previously visited the Everton boss at Finch Farm.
With a big decision to be made over the next 12 months regarding Moyes’ contract, some interesting months lie ahead for the Everton boss.
Moyes isn’t concerned about his Everton future as he has admitted securing European football remains his priority.
