Leeds United
Leeds United may face a tussle with Valencia for Largie Ramazani this summer, as he may want to stay at loan club Valencia.
Super Deporte cover the 25-year-old today and the potential battle in the summer for his long-term commitment.
Valencia turnaround
Largie Ramazani is currently on loan at the Spanish club and, after a difficult start, has established himself as a star under Carlos Corberan. Indeed, he has been enjoying a transformation since the January transfer window.
Once that window closed, he secured his place through ‘sheer footballing ability’, scoring five goals since January 24th. Now, he wouldn’t mind staying at the Mestalla.
He’s happy in Valencia, feels supported in the dressing room and his role has changed under Corberán. Valencia would be happy to give him what he wants but need Leeds to play along.
No Leeds United pressure
Leeds United aren’t in a hurry to negotiate as Largie Ramazani has a contract until 2028. There’s no pressure on them to do so. That’s bad news for Valencia.
A report this week also stated that Leeds want to bring the loanee back to Elland Road for next season.
That report, from Marca, stated that they see Ramazani as a potential key player for the Premier League next season. Despite that, they would be open to a sale if the deal was right.
The sentiment, though, is that Leeds feel no need to sell right now and that’s a problem for Valencia. Given their financial situation, it’s unlikely the Spanish side will be offering sums that would turn heads at Elland Road either.
Ramazani pressure
Valencia’s best hope appears to lie in Largie Ramazani. If he pushes for a permanent exit and stay at the Mestalla, Leeds will have to listen.
For now, they appear to be in charge of the situation and Valencia know it. Things can change quickly, though, and a tussle may be on the cards if Ramazani makes it clear that he wants Valencia this summer.
