Everton handed timely injury boost as player spotted back in training amid int'l break

Everton midfielder Charly Alcaraz has now made his return to training following his injury issue.

Last month, David Moyes revealed that Alcaraz was set for a number of weeks on the sideline due to an injury picked up at Finch Farm.

A number of Everton players are currently away on international duty, but a handful remain on Merseyside and are continuing to train under the 62-year-old.

Alcaraz missed Everton’s game against Man United due to injury, which he suffered in the final training session before the game.

The Argentine has endured a turbulent season following his permanent signing over the summer.

Moyes has only handed the midfielder six starts in the Premier League, with 673 minutes of league action under his belt.

Ahead of the run-in, having a fit squad will be hugely important for Everton and they are now welcoming back the 23-year-old.

Everton published a number of images from Finch Farm training on their website on Thursday, and a smiling Alcaraz was spotted.

Alcaraz has not been utilised by Moyes since their loan stay was made permanent.

The Argentine had a solid impact under the Scot last year following his short-term loan, but that has not translated into this season.

However, having him as an option heading into a busy final couple of months could prove a huge boost for the Toffees.
