Leeds United have announced an addition to the club’s Board of Directors.
Leeds United have announced an addition to the club’s Board of Directors through the arrival of Greek businessman Andreas Dracopoulos following a personal investment.
A statement from Leeds United released on Friday afternoon read: “Andreas Dracopoulos has joined the Board following a personal investment and will help lead the club in its mission to be an established side in the Premier League.
“Dracopoulos is the Co-Chairman of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), a private, international philanthropic organisation that supports projects worldwide aiming to achieve a broad, lasting, and positive impact for society at large.
“In addition to benefitting over 3,100 global nonprofits through SNF, Dracopoulos has supported education, arts and culture, and medicine projects for decades.
“Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Dracopoulos is a long-time supporter having obtained his first official Leeds United Membership 50 years ago and brings a wealth of business and philanthropic experience to the club and community.
“Dracopoulos joins Chairman Paraag Marathe, Vice-Chairman Andrew Schwartzberg, along with Board Members Peter Lowy, Eugene Schneur and Robbie Evans to complete the Board of Directors.”
