New Leeds director is decades-long supporter

Long-time Leeds United supporter Andreas Dracopoulos has joined the club's board to, in their words, "help lead the club in its mission to be an established side in the Premier League".

Greek-born Dracopoulos first took up membership at the club 50 years ago and has now followed it with a personal investment.

He joins chairman Paraag Marathe, vice-chairman Andrew Schwartzberg, managing director Robbie Evans, Peter Lowy and Eugene Schneur in the Elland Road boardroom.

Dracopoulos is the co-chairman of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), a private, international philanthropic organisation that supports projects worldwide aiming to achieve a broad, lasting, and positive impact for society at large.

SNF has supported education, arts and culture, and medicine projects for decades.

This is Leeds' first season of Premier League football after two years away. They will emerge from the final international break of the season well placed to retain their status in the division, four points clear of the relegation zone with seven games to play.
