Lewis Miley wants to be part of Newcastle United’s rebuild this summer, which feels like a major shot in the arm.
The mood on Tyneside is extremely negative following a bruising week in which Newcastle United were beaten by Barcelona and Sunderland.

Eddie Howe’s side were absolutely dreadful heading into the international break, and, unsurprisingly, key players are expected to leave Newcastle United this summer.
Miley, however, isn’t one of them.
Miley wants to stay at Newcastle United amid contract talks
According to The Daily Mail, the Newcastle United academy star is in line for a new contract after a brilliant time of things this season.
The 19-year-old has made 30 appearances, scoring three goals and registering three assists, but that does not tell the full story.

Major shift in Lewis Miley’s stance at Newcastle United
Interestingly, the situation now feels very different to how it did only a few months ago.
In fact, back in September, Geordie Boot Boys revealed that Miley wanted to leave Newcastle on loan in 2025 as he looked to bank more first team football amid links with a move to Ipswich.
At the time, he was struggling to get past the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton and Sandro Tonali.
However, Miley has now established himself as a leading star once again and he is exactly the kind of player the club must build around, particularly as the aforementioned Tonali is expected to leave at the end of the season.
Miley already looks like the best academy player Newcastle have produced in years.
