When Leeds United announced the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, some of the club’s fans had complaints. The striker was coming off a down season, and was hampered by injuries during his time at Everton.

His run of form at the end of last year saw him net seven goals between November and December. Many tipped him to be in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the World Cup, but he was not called up in the final international break of the year.
