Could Adama Traore Stay At West Ham Beyond This Season?

**Adama Traore signed for the Hammers in the January window on a short-term deal, but the prospect of his future in Claret and Blue remains an unknown.**

The ex-Barcelona forward joined the Hammers towards deadline day as numerous difficulties arose when attempting to conclude the deal. Despite AFCON as well as other difficulties, they had eventually been ironed out before the pen was put to paper, and Adama had officially moved from the West to the East.

His fiery entrance in West Ham colours saw him have a tussle against Chelsea, but since then, he’s had impressive performances, such as against Brentford in the FA Cup.

Adama Traore has been a key player for West Ham in terms of squad depth as well as what he can bring to the table, but the truth is, his immediate future is in a sense of unknown given West Ham’s current Premier League position.

The Hammers do have an option to extend a year in his contract, according to numerous sources, but whether both parties will want that will likely depend on the outcome of whether West Ham stays up or not.

Traore offers brilliant squad depth and certainly someone who can come on and make an impact, not to mention, he was bought for £1m. That’s peanuts in Football nowadays!

Adama was certainly a good purchase, and it appears that he has integrated well into West Ham and is enjoying his time behind the scenes and with the squad. He obviously also has a great relationship with Nuno, given their past and how Nuno has also attempted to sign him wherever he has gone – I’m glad we were able to get that deal over the line.

It would be good to see Adama stay at West Ham; he certainly does bring a lot to us. It’s now a matter of time to tell the future for us.
