Former West Ham United manager Graham Potter’s reputation has taken a battering ever since he left Brighton.
Indeed, Potter endured a miserable 25-game spell at West Ham United, having previously been sacked at Chelsea after only a few months.
Who is West Ham’s worst manager in the Premier League era and why?
What does Nuno have to do to avoid joining this list?
Still, while Potter certainly didn’t cover himself in glory here in east London, he is now starting to rebuild his managerial career with the Swedish national team.
Things didn’t start well but Potter has now recorded a crucial first win in charge of Sweden, and is now one game away from World Cup qualification.
Plenty of Sweden stars flocked to praise him after their 3-1 win over Ukraine.

Arsenal forward Viktor Gyokeres scored a hat-trick as Potter recorded a first win in charge of Sweden. If they beat Poland on Tuesday, they will qualify for the World Cup later this summer.
Speaking to FotbollSkanalen, plenty of his players were effusive in their praise of the former West Ham manager.

“We just follow the game plan that he has given us and he has created an environment where we can play with a lot of freedom and enjoy our football,” said Newcastle’s Anthony Elanga.
“He doesn’t tell us to do this and that. It’s us on the pitch who can see how we should play. I’m just happy that he is here and he has helped us a lot so far, but we still have a job to do on Tuesday.”
“He has come in with a calm and secure attitude,” added Victor Lindelof.
“He has simplified many things and made it very easy for us to understand what we are going to do on the pitch. In football and in a team, it is important to have the basics first and then you can work on other things.”

It would be fair to say that Potter’s time at West Ham United did not work out.
Still, some of the signings made under him last summer could end up keeping the Irons in the Premier League.
Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen is proving Potter right at West Ham, finally stepping up and looking like the £20million player the Irons thought they were signing months ago.
El Hadji Malick Diouf and Mateus Fernandes, meanwhile, have and will play key roles in deciding exactly what happens in the relegation battle.
West Ham’s missteps in the transfer market have been plentiful. Still, it is worth pointing out that some of Potter’s signings are looking like reasonably inspired additions.
Clearly, that didn’t mean much during the bleak days of his tenure, but perhaps they will yet work out as planned.
It will be fascinating to see if Potter really can rebuild his reputation with Sweden.
