A Liverpool FC legend helped open one of Liverpool ONE’s newest stores today. The retail destination is wrapping up the transformation of the former Flannels and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols spaces with two football-focused arrivals: Crossbar and Pro:Direct Soccer.

While both concepts are set to launch at Liverpool ONE this spring, it’s Pro:Direct Soccer that’s first out of the gate. The new 6,000 sq ft PD:FC store will bring together performance gear, training essentials and terrace-inspired fashion, blending elite-level innovation with the culture of the game off the pitch.

Doors are set to open this weekend on Saturday, March 28. However, tonight, Friday, March 27 saw an invite only event to kickstart the brand’s presence in the sitting. Among those in attendance was Steven Gerrard as he filmed a live episode of The Boot Room before meeting guests.

Sam Baldock, chief of brand at Pro:Direct Sport, said: “Liverpool is a global icon of football culture – a city where history, passion, and creativity have shaped the identity of the game. Bringing our PD:FC concept to Liverpool ONE is about more than opening a store, it’s about establishing our vision in one of football’s defining cities. We’re excited to welcome the community through our doors.”

The 6,000 sq ft space brings the full PD:FC experience to Liverpool, complementing its Manchester counterpart and completing the brand’s planned flagship footprint across the region.

The store offers a curated mix of on-pitch innovation and off-pitch expression, including elite-level performance gear, training essentials, terrace-inspired fashion, and city-ready apparel and footwear.

PD:FC prides itself on being a cultural hub – drawing inspiration from the streets, stadiums, and creative energy that make Liverpool and Merseyside a global epicentre of football culture.

Donna Howitt, deputy centre director at Liverpool ONE, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be welcoming PD:FC to Liverpool ONE. It’s a completely new concept for our visitors, and we’re confident they’re going to love every minute of it. Liverpool is a city that lives and breathes football, so bringing PD:FC right into the heart of it all just feels like a perfect fit.”

With doors set to officially open on Saturday, March 28, PD:FC is kicking things off with a first come, first served launch event where the first through the door will unlock a series of “money-can’t-buy” prizes.

Located above Pro:Direct and spanning 25,000 sq/ft over two floors, Crossbar will open its first-ever location at Liverpool ONE.

Situated on Manesty’s Lane, occupying the upper levels of the former Flannels and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols with an entrance on the ground floor, Crossbar will feature tech-enabled state-of-the-art football boxes with reactive projection, motion tracking, and surround sound.

Alongside the gaming floor will be a bar and casual dining area, while upstairs, Club 11 will provide a full restaurant experience. An opening date has yet to be confirmed for Crossbar.

Brett Duarte, founder of Crossbar, added: "We have a lifelong passion for football so bringing our new kind of football experience to life is a momentous landmark for the Crossbar brand.

"We have been searching for the perfect location to launch for some time, and Liverpool ONE’s second-to-none reputation and quality line-up of leisure and retail brands made it the obvious choice."

Together with the recently opened 7,000 sq/ft Anthropologie store, the 38,000 sq/ft of signings complete the re-letting of the former Flannels and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols units.

Rob Deacon, director of asset management at Liverpool ONE, Landsec, said: "Experience is at the heart of everything we do at Liverpool ONE and we want to create enjoyable moments for visitors every time they are here.

"Crossbar will be a strong new anchor that provides even more reasons to visit or lengthen an existing trip. Joined by PD:FC’s city debut, the brands further reaffirm Liverpool ONE’s position as one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.”
