Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton are all monitoring Parma midfielder Mandela Keita, with Spurs even sending an official to watch the 23-year-old in recent weeks.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that Keita is firmly on England’s radar after racking up 32 appearances and 1500 minutes in all competitions this season.
After a year of adaptation, Ketia has emerged as a multi-role midfielder. That’s made him one of the most intriguing profiles outside of Italy’s top clubs.
English clubs monitoring
His trajectory is an upward one and English clubs are hovering. Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton have all shown an interest to date.
Spurs appear to be slightly ahead of their Premier League counterparts. They’ve recently sent a scout to watch over the player and provide information back.
There is also interest from Bologna. They will have funds this summer and are considering a midfield rebuild of their own.
Gazzetta dello Sport make no mention of an asking price for Keita as yet. He’s currently rated at €18m by Transfermarkt after a big jump in his value this month.
He cost Parma €11.9m in 2024 and is tied to a deal until 2029, so there’s no pressure for them to sell either.
Transfer situation unclear
The question is whether he wants to leave Parma or Italy at this point. Gazzetta don’t make any mention of his stance either.
There is interest from the Premier League though. Tottenham have sent scouts while Aston Villa and Brighton are monitoring his performances as well.
All three could make interesting offers, although any from Spurs will presumably be delayed until they have ensured their future is in the Premier League. At this moment in time, that’s far from certain and transfer business will likely be on hold.
Of the three, Brighton offer the natural pathway to the top given their development of midfielders in recent years, but Aston Villa’s Belgian contingent could be an interesting factor if they move at any point.
