Fresh off the back of their Asian Cup triumph, Risa Shimizu went straight back into the team at right-back while Fuka Nagano slotted in alongside Kirsty Maclean in midfield.

Liverpool started on the front foot and were rewarded before long with a penalty due to a Inma Gabarro handball; Ceri Holland stepped up to converted calmly for her first of the day.
Before 22 minutes had been played, the Reds had their second.
Alejandra Bernabe found space on the left to whip in a dangerous ball that Martina Fernandez could only head into her own net.
With Liverpool 2-0 up, the hosts began to play. Their momentum was halted in the 42nd minute, though, by Holland’s second of the day.
The Welsh International broke through the middle and curled into the top corner from the edge of the box with a brilliant strike.

Having brought on Kelly Gago and former Liverpool forward Melissa Lawley and after the break, Everton improved and got their first thanks to a big slice of luck.
Aurora Galli walked up 20 yards out to take a free-kick for the Toffees, and her strike took a big deflection off the wall to wrong foot goalkeeper Jennifer Falk.
Things then took another step in the wrong direction for Liverpool as captain Grace Fisk was shown a second yellow for tripping Zara Kramzar off the ball.
The midfielder went on to hit the ball and eventually netted a consolation strike at the beginning of injury time, but it wasn’t enough as Liverpool held on to claim their first away win of the campaign of the WSL campaign and second derby success in the space of five weeks.

Next up for Taylor’s new-and-improved Reds is a trip to The Valley to face Charlton in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, a competition that has provided fans with a source of relief from the toils of the league.
These three points mean Liverpool can somewhat relax themselves about the threat of relegation, with bottom side Leicester eight points behind.
