Abdul Fatawu has admirers at Everton.
The Liverpool Echo recently revealed that David Moyes is a huge fan of Fatawu as the Ghana international impresses in the Championship with Leicester – who could be playing in League One next season as the Foxes find themselves in a relegation battle.
The Telegraph have now provided an update on the 2015/16 Premier League champions, revealing that the Ghanaian is highly likely to be sold even if Leicester survive amid financial problems at the King Power Stadium.

Everton must be on red alert as Leicester prepare to sell Abdul Fatawu
The report states that Fatawu – who Leicester signed from Sporting CP for £10m back in July 2024 – is the ‘most probable summer departure’ at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes attempt to raise funds.
Leicester find themselves in a relegation battle largely due to the fact they were deducted six points in February for breaching financial regulations – like Everton experienced in the 2023/24 campaign.
The Telegraph add that Leicester have a recruitment policy in which they intend to sell a ‘star player’ every summer, and that is expected to be Fatawu this year in a boost for Everton.
It remains to be seen how much Leicester charge for the 22-year-old, but they will be helped in negotiations due to the fact the winger still has three years remaining on his contract.
Fatawu has scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 38 Championship appearances so far this season, netting crucial winners against Charlton and West Brom. Had the Leicester No.7 not helped to secure those points, relegation fears around the King Power Stadium would be even stronger.

News of The Friedkin Group wanting to tie Moyes down to a new contract also makes us feel this deal is likelier.
Surely everyone is Moyes in now? 🤔
David Moyes.
The Guardian believe the new contract will see the Glaswegian given a larger say in recruitment, so the fact he personally admires Fatawu suggests the Ghana star could be one of the first players the 62-year-old moves for this summer.
