Leeds United star issues four-word update after injury worry with return date

A Leeds United star has issued a three-word update following an injury worry.

Leeds United star Gabi Gudmundsson has issued a re-assuring message after an injury scare on international duty.

Left back Gudmundsson has been one of United’s best players since his arrival from Lille last summer and the 26-year-old is also eyeing a place at this summer’s World Cup with Sweden.

The Swedes finished bottom of their qualification group but advanced to the play-offs due to their Nations League ranking and put themselves one game away from qualifying with Thursday night’s 3-1 victory against the Ukraine.

Gudmundsson started the contest, bagging his 22nd cap for his country, but the defender suffered a knock to his knee in the second half and was eventually substituted after initially attempting to continue.

Gudmundsson, though, who had an ice pack on his knee after the game, said post match that it was just a case of taking care of his body and the defender has now provided another re-assuring update ahead of Tuesday’s play-off final against Poland.

Taking to his Instagram page, Gudmundsson shared a photograph of himself in Sweden colours and another Sweden team photo together with the words: “See you on Tuesday.”
