Dan Ndoye admits he also asks himself why he does not play more minutes for Nottingham Forest after starring for Switzerland in their 4-3 defeat to Germany.

The winger impressed during the friendly clash and gave Switzerland the lead when he latched onto a pass from Granit Xhaka.

But Liverpool's Florian Wirtz went onto steal the show for Germany by scoring two brilliant goals and then registered two assists as they won 4-3.

Ndoye, however, caught the eye for the Swiss and his performance drew plenty of praise despite his struggle to nail down a place in Forest's first team under Vitor Pereira.

And speaking to RTS after Switzerland's defeat, he said: "I don’t get many minutes at club level, but today I showed I have some quality.

"I feel great with Switzerland. Why don’t I play for Nottingham Forest? I ask myself that too.

“It’s been a while since my first goal against Germany at Euro 2024.

“Being decisive against a team like that is always a pleasure. When I get the chance to play, I always give it my all."

Ndoye had initially made a bright start to his career at Forest having joined the club from Bologna last summer.
