‘One day he will return’ – Romano ‘convinced’ that Tonali will be back in Italy

Among AC Milan supporters, there is little agreement across the board. However, everyone is clear that Sandro Tonali must return.

It remains one of the main stinging points for Milan fans that Tonali is no longer at the club. Seemingly a purely financial decision, it was an exit without emotional consideration, and even now, there are still complaints about the sale.

Though there remains the hope that he will eventually return to Milano, to don the Rossoneri stripes once again, but it may be a while away. In fact, with the rumours currently emerging from England, he may be further away from a return than ever before.

A plausible hope

The Diavolo cannot afford him at his current price, but that is not to say that he does not want to return. Rumours have been present already about his desire to return to Serie A, and they have been strengthened today.

Speaking this weekend, Fabrizio Romano commented on his future, and MilanNews24 have relayed his words.

“Sandro Tonali is extraordinary. The idea, unfortunately, of seeing him again in Serie A is really far away at the moment.

“The temptation to present to Newcastle to understand how to bring Sandro Tonali back to Italy, here this desire will hardly become a reality. ManchesterUnited are working hard on Tonali. We will hardly see him now in Italy.

“I remain convinced that one day Tonali will return. It probably won’t be this summer; it will be in the future, but Tonali’s desire for Italy remains.”
