Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after just six weeks in the job.
Tudor only had seven matches in charge of Spurs after replacing Thomas Frank in mid-February, with his only win coming against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Spurs had already been thumped 5-2 by Atletico in the first leg of their last-16 tie and exited the competition despite their 3-2 win in the second leg.
Tudor’s final game was a 3-0 defeat to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on home turf before the international break which left Spurs 17th, one point above the Premier League drop-zone.
Aston Villa will host Spurs at Villa Park on May 2 and a new head coach will be at the helm after Tudor’s exit.
A statement from Spurs on Sunday said: “We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect.
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of goalkeeping coach and physical coach.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.
“An update on a new head coach will be provided in due course."
