Newcastle United are a mess this season but things look positively serene on Tyneside compared to what is happening at Tottenham, who could turn to a former Toon manager to save them.
Spurs, of course, are battling against a previously unthinkable relegation from the Premier League.
Thomas Frank was sacked after Newcastle United beat Tottenham in February and the appointment of Igor Tudor as his replacement did not work out.

Indeed, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has suggested that Chris Hughton is a potential option for Spurs at this stage.

He began his coaching career with the north London club in 1993 before moving to Newcastle in 2008 as part of Kevin Keegan’s backroom team.
Hughton would later become Newcastle’s permanent manager and led them from the Championship back to the Premier League before he was ruthlessly sacked by Mike Ashley in December 2010.

Hughton was a brilliant manager for Newcastle during a difficult time for the club and probably deserved more time.
Still, one could forgive Spurs fans for feeling underwhelmed if the club were to turn to him.
Hughton, after all, has not managed in the Premier League since 2019 and his last job was in charge of Ghana back in 2024.
Though clearly an experienced coach, it’s hard to imagine many Spurs fans being bowled over if he were to return for the final few games of the season.
