Liverpool are now charging into the race to sign an in-demand Premier League star, who's even quicker than Mohamed Salah.
Klopp hails "fantastic" Salah
It's the end of an era at Liverpool this summer, and a dominant one at that. Salah will officially be leaving the club after nine years, three PFA Player of the Year awards, two Premier League titles, a Champions League and so much more. The Egyptian King has more than earned his crown.

The tributes have poured in ever since Salah's announcement, including from former manager and fellow Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp, who said: "He is a fantastic ambassador for his country, for the whole region there.
"A great guy, a real competitor, so intense for a manager as well and he knows that we both had our our moments together. But we always came together again quickly, because we both wanted the same. We wanted the maximum success for our team."
It remains to be seen what's next for Salah, but Liverpool's summer will likely centre around finding a replacement - be it Michael Olise, Yan Diomande or another option.
The Bundesliga certainly seems to be where it's at for the Reds. After signing Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike from Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, they've got their sights set on the Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig stars.

Liverpool are looking to add world-class quality on the wings during the summer transfer window.
As things stand, it looks as though luring Olise away from the German giants will prove to be an incredibly difficult task and that could quickly make Diomande Liverpool's top choice to replace Salah.
But it's not just the frontline that FSG are looking to improve. They're also on the hunt for a defensive addition.
Liverpool burst into race to sign Lacroix
As reported by TeamTalk, Liverpool have now burst into the race to sign Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace this summer, alongside Chelsea and Aston Villa. Almost 12 months since they missed out on Marc Guehi on deadline day, Anfield chiefs have set their sights on another Selhurst Park star.

It's easy to see why Lacroix has emerged as an option, too. Ibrahima Konate is yet to sign a new deal at the club and whilst Jeremie Jacquet is set to arrive in the summer, Liverpool will still need further defensive cover.
The Palace star knows the Premier League well and his speed would prove to be an invaluable trait for Arne Slot's backline. The Frenchman has been the quickest centre-back in the top flight this season after clocking a speed of 35.39 km/h, which is even quicker than Salah's current top speed of 34.29 km/h.

Tackles 50 47

Dubbed "outstanding" by Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, Lacroix's speed, combined with his passing range would ensure that Anfield forgets all about Konate this summer.
