New Leeds United concern emerges on Sunday – Rival statement may change everything: View

Leeds United are the only side from 18th to 15th that hasn’t changed managers this season, with Spurs now on the hunt for their third appointment following Igor Tudor’s confirmed exit.

Just seven games remain in the Premier League relegation scrap. If you’re Leeds, you’re wanting nothing to change in the coming weeks as we sit four clear with an arguably more ‘favourable’ run than anyone around us.

If you’re Spurs, you’re praying for an immediate turnaround to halt what’s looking more and more like one of the most shocking relegations since probably Leeds’ in 2004.

Prior to the international break, Igor Tudor and Spurs were left to stew on the damaging 3-0 home loss to Noittingham Forest.

Despite hitting the woodwork twice, Spurs were hit by three goals in very similar circumstances to plunge them even closer to the bottom three.

As a result, the North London side have today confirmed Tudor’s departure from the club by mutual consent, seeing two of his coaching staff also exit the club.

It now leaves Spurs on the hunt for a new manager. Reports from the Telegraph suggest a replacement could be arranged soon.

Double-edged sword for Spurs’ relegation hopes with manager hunt commencing – Can they put Leeds United under pressure?

It was a matter of time before Tudor left. The performances have got noticeably worse since his appointment, he’s not had the bounce that he was brought in to provide. And, suffering such a close bereavement was only going to make matters worse for him.

However, it leaves Spurs in a really tough position. Because, if Tudor can’t get anything out of this talented group of players, who can? The above reports claim numerous, wildly contrasting options are emerging.

They range from the more ambitious long-term names such as Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino. Meanwhile, they may be forced into short-term plans with names who ‘know the club’. That includes Ben Davies, Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle, Tim Sherwood, and Chris Hughton.

For us Leeds fans looking on, we have to hope that Spurs stay in this mire. They’re circling the drain with players not pulling their weight and fans losing all belief.

That said, it’s still Spurs. There’s still potential for a talented coach to be lured into a big club. And, they could have what it takes to change their fortunes.

We have to hope that Spurs’ momentum only continues in one direction: down. If someone can galvanise them, it makes our relegation scrap all the more tense, and difficult to navigate.
