Latest Spurs Update Makes Hammers’ “Starboy” Move Even More Amusing

**As tough as it has been watching West Ham for most of this season, the struggles of Tottenham Hotspur have provided great entertainment.**

The North London side have recently parted ways with Igor Tudor mere weeks after sacking Thomas Frank as Head Coach – and things don’t seem to be looking any brighter for them.

In the tragedy that has been the Irons’ 2025/26 campaign, the woes of their London rivals have proven great comic relief. In recent times especially, watching Spurs fans lose their heads as their team consistently loses matches has made for some amusing viewing among most neutrals – but especially among West Ham fans.

Not only are our rivals suffering alongside us; not only do we have a golden opportunity to relegate them; but the possibility of witnessing Mohammed Kudus – a player supposedly too good for little old West Ham – get relegated with Tottenham is quite exciting.

The Ghanaian winger left the London Stadium last summer, signing for their London rivals. In his words, “it was always going to be Spurs”. Additionally, during his medical, when the doctor pointed a stethoscope towards his heart, he claimed, “you’ll find Spurs there” – yuck.

But now, things look very different. Kudus has been sidelined since January with a hamstring injury, and his team have been dreadful in his absence – not that he had already justified his £55 million price tag. The winger has two goals and six assists in 19 games this season.

It has been amusing to see how poor Spurs have been this season, considering Kudus’ supposedly lofty expectations. He was back playing Champions League football and was expected to enter “best in the league” debates in his position. Now, he’s staring down the barrel of potential relegation to the Championship.

Of course, the Hammers haven’t fared much better and are still the favourites to go down. But Kudus will surely look for another move away in the summer, regardless of who goes down.

Equally satisfying from West Ham’s perspective has been the ascendance of Crysencio Summerville since Kudus’ injury. The Dutchman has been outstanding for the Irons in 2026, and the days of Kudus playing in a West Ham shirt now feel like a distant memory.

Spurs are obviously a better side with the Ghanaian on the pitch. But given how much was made of his move across the capital last summer, the transfer has been a huge disappointment – for both the player and the club.

There hasn’t been much to laugh about this season for West Ham fans. But they are experiencing schadenfreude at Kudus and Spurs’ expense – and that feeling could go into overdrive by the end of the season if the Hammers stay up and send their rivals down.
