AFC Bournemouth won the National League Cup final against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, edging out their Devon rivals 1-0 at QPR.

But the Cherries have two games in hand over Plymouth, trailing by four goals on goal difference, so they know if they are to win those two games in hand well, they will move into second.
That will be good enough for a playoff spot this season, against the runners up in the Northern Premier Division.
Both sides will be hoping that Watford slip up in their final three games this term to open the door for them in the automatic promotion race, but the Hornets just need to win two of their remaining three to go up as champions.

Bournemouth face second-from-bottom AFC Wimbledon next weekend as Plymouth meet fourth-placed Oxford.

“So yeah, we've got four cup finals. We'll see how we go at the end of the season. But honestly, I'm so proud of the team.”
The boss admitted they won’t have long to celebrate the cup win, as they’ll be back to full focus on Wimbledon this week.
“Luckily with it being a Saturday, the girls get a day off and also the staff,” she said.
“So Sunday, have a little rest, enjoy this moment because they don't come around often. And then, yeah, we go back to the drawing board and go again Monday.”
