**Norway head coach Stale Solbakken has confirmed Man City striker Erling Haaland will start against Switzerland on Tuesday evening.**

The 25-year-old was a surprise absentee from the matchday squad for the 2-1 defeat to the Netherlands last week, but Solbakken has said that the forward was rested, and he will be back for the next friendly:

“He probably won’t play the full game, but he’ll start the game.”

As long as Haaland comes through the Switzerland fixture unscathed, he should be in contention to play in City’s next match.

**Expected Return Date – Saturday 4th April vs Liverpool (h) – FA Cup**

John Stones

-----------

The centre-back picked up a knock during training with England last week, and he did not come off the substitutes bench during the 1-1 draw against Uruguay on Friday.

It is believed that Stones sustained a minor calf injury, and Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel said they had sent the defender back to City as a precaution:

“John was gutted he had this minor incident, not a big injury. Given the history, we had to be careful; it made no sense to push him through and try stuff that could make it worse.”

Based on Stones’ recent injury history, it seems unlikely that he will be available to face Liverpool this weekend.

**Expected Return Date – Unknown**
