Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham will not play when England host Japan in a friendly match at Wembley this Tuesday, coach Thomas Tuchel revealed.
“We will not take risks with Jude because he just came back from a muscle injury and you never know what can happen,” said the German coach.
This is good news for Real Madrid, as many fans were concerned about the prospect of seeing Bellingham on the field when he just managed to recover from a significant hamstring injury which kept him out for more than a month.
It’s worth noting that Bellingham didn’t play in England’s first match against Uruguay either, so Tuchel probably just wanted to have him around for team-building purposes as The Three Lions try to gain momentum ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
